Spring has Sprung

I painted this piece to capture that wild, instinctive energy foxes carry—especially in those quiet, moonlit hours when the world feels still but alive. The fox is caught mid-leap, a moment of pure motion and instinct, framed by a glowing full moon. I used strong orange tones for the fox to contrast with the deep ultramarine of the night sky, creating a sense of movement and magic. The poppies scattered below bring a softer, grounded energy—something delicate to balance the motion above. The yellowy-white moonlight washes over everything, tying it all together in a dreamy, almost surreal atmosphere. It’s a little tribute to the quiet poetry of nature at night.
